Lips - definitely the most sensual organ we are allowed to expose. Who doesn’t love to wake up without makeup?

Lip Blushing is a semi-permanent makeup tattoo that adds volume, definition and color to your lips. A custom color is mixed for every client based on their lip color, undertone and skin tone. Lip blushing lasts 2-4 years.

How does Lip Blush work?

A rotary device that is used to  deposit pigment into the lips to create a soft and natural blush tone.  The pigment lines your lips, creating shading to make them appear fuller, while the pixelating gives you a fresh coat of color.

Does Lip Blush hurt?

The pain level is different for everyone, a numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure. Lips are very sensitive so every person will feel discomfort like any tattoo.

Stages of the lip blushing healing process

Your lips' skin will go through numerous stages of the permanent lip color healing procedure following your treatment.

Day 1

Swelling, tenderness, and high color intensity

Right after your procedure, your skin will begin to progressively release lymph fluid. This is a common way for our bodies to heal! Using sterile wipes you should clean your lips every 30 minutes. This reduces your scabbing and don’t forget to moisturize before bed. Even after the treatment is completed, light bruises may occur. It's perfectly normal and will go away in a few hours.

Day 2

Less swelling, more tenderness, and a lot of dryness

It's possible that your lips are still slightly swollen today, giving the impression that you're wearing lipstick. It's common for them to experience chapped dryness. Keep the skin moist at all times, do not let the lips dry out.

Day 3-7

Heavy peeling and dryness

Keep moisturizing as needed - 5-6 times a day. It's fine if your lips get a little dry between applications. It's normal for some minor flaking and peeling to occur.

IMPORTANT! Do not apply any products to lips until scabs and flakes have naturally fallen off.

One month later: In 4-6 weeks, you will observe the true healed results of your session.

*As my clients leave my studio, I remind them not to judge their lips for a full 6 – 8 weeks from the day of the procedure. *

Is the Permanent Lip Color Healing Process the Same for All Styles?

The extent to which your lip peels is determined on the amount of work performed. Although the stages of lip tattoo healing are universal, everyone experiences a different degree of the symptom severity. The healing process varies from person to person and relies on many different factors, including lifestyle, immune response, the extent of treatment, etc.

What to Avoid During the Lip Blush Healing Process

  • Make sure your lips aren't completely soaked. Using a moist cotton pad, clean them. If they get wet, dry them as soon as possible by patting.

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or picking your lips. Allow them to take their time. If you rip off the parched skin, the pigments will be pulled out, and your lips will recover in patches.

  • Avoid putting your lips on any unclean surface, even your fingers. You run the danger of bacterial contamination and illness in the sensitive area.

  • Avoid direct sunlight on your lips. It hastens pigment loss and might cause color shifts.

  • Swimming is not a good idea. Avoid lengthy, hot showers as well as saunas and steam tubs. Keep your lips as dry as possible.

  • Make sure you don't get any toothpaste on your lips. Brush your teeth a little more quickly than normal.

  • Put no other items on your lips besides the suggested moisturizer. For at least 10 days, don't wear any makeup.

  • Sleeping on your face is not recommended.

  • Avoid hot and salty meals. They're going to sting you. To keep the scab from cracking, cut any food into little pieces.

  • Don't consume alcoholic beverages. It will irritate your lips and make them even more dry.

  • Smoking should be avoided.

  • Don’t get teeth whitening or any beauty treatments.
