Permanent and Semi-Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique that enhances your natural beauty that continues to be an extremely popular procedure all over the world.

At Beauty Babe, we offer several services incorporating permanent makeup techniques: microblading, powder brows, lip blushing are among those. Here we will pinpoint a few important things to consider before your appointment to ensure smooth and effective results.

First, avoid the following products 24-8 hours before your procedure, as they may make your skin (lips or eyebrows ) tender:
No Alcohol
No Aspirin or Blood Thinners
No Caffeine (coffee or tea)
No Fish Oil
No Niacin
No Vitamin E

Second, on the day of the procedure, refrain from working out and sweating, as well as exposing your face to direct sunlight. (You shouldn’t be doing that anyway!)

Third, stay hydrated – drink plenty of water, make sure your skin (especially your lips) is not dry before the procedure.

For specific procedures make sure you check with your provider before scheduling.
For example, for Lip Blushing we recommend starting exfoliating your lips one week before the procedure and refrain from lip fillers for at least 4 weeks prior to and after the procedure.
And for microblading and Powder brows we recommend staying away from anti-aging serums and creams, as well as no chemical peels for at least 60 days prior to the appointment.
Also, make sure you discuss any health issues with your provider, ask them questions if you are going through some medical treatment. Inform your provider about any changes in your health too.
Feel free to reach out to our team before the appointment if you have any questions, our Beauty Babe Club providers will be happy to answer your questions.
